One of our favorite summer traditions in Lyons is hosting the Lyons Rockygrass Festival. This year is the 53rd anniversary, and it promises to have a lineup of bluegrass artists that you won’t want to miss. You’ll hear plenty of your favorite songs while enjoying the stunning Rocky Mountains scenery.

When is Lyon’s bluegrass festival?
This year’s bluegrass festival will take place from July 25 to 27. The festival runs daily from 10 am to midnight with general admission seating at all stages around the grounds. You can purchase single-day tickets from Friday to Sunday or save with an all-access 3-day pass.
Many festival-goers will choose to camp on-site. The organizers require a ticket per person when reserving a campsite, not per vehicle. Camping options vary in price, with RV reservations costing more than standard vehicles. Depending on your camping spot, you can walk to the stages or hop on a shuttle bus. Camping keeps the good vibes going all night, even after the music has quieted. You’ll meet plenty of new friends as you chill out after a long day of partying.
Who is playing at Lyon’s Bluegrass Festival?
The festival will include two stages: the main and wildflower. Headliners for the weekend on the main stage include:

The Wildflower stage will feature musical acts and contests throughout the weekend. Musicians can enter contests to choose the best banjo, mandolin, guitar, or fiddle player. Anyone can participate for a small fee, and the prize for each category includes cash or a new instrument. Bands can also enter the competition on the Wildflower stage to vie for a spot as a featured artist on the main stage.
Between musical performances, you can roam the festival grounds to check out vendors, workshops, and food trucks. There will be plenty to see and do as you celebrate bluegrass music.
